The highest body of CGU is the Council of Members. The statutory body of CGU is the Presidium, responsible to the Council for its activities. Its members are authorised with expert supervision over the fields of the activity chosen. The Supervisory Board oversees the economic management of CGU.

The Executive Office aims to provide effective operation of CGU in the subject of activity defined in the Regulations. In its own structure it does analyses, consults issues with the members, investors, partnership organisations and state administration in the Czech Republic and abroad. It presents proposals for solutions to the Presidium and Council of Members and in cooperation with the presidium, or after agreement it consults the approved solutions individually with bodies of state administration and institutions in the Czech Republic and EU. It represents CGU in Eurogas, where it enforces proposals towards European structures, transmits the processed information to CGU members and recommends solutions to implementation in the Czech Republic.

Consultations with the members are in subject areas (permanent working groups), in which suggestions of solutions are developed in cooperation with the delegated member representatives, the needs of the branch are presented and discussed. Besides this, there can be occasional working groups created for current issues.

The staff of the Executive Office conducts negotiations with the state administration on the managerial level. In fundamental issues, CGU is represented by the Presidium members in talks with the administrative and highest executive levels.

The current structure of the Presidium includes:

• President: Ing. Oldřich Petržilka (President and General Secretary of CGU),
• Member of the Presidium: Martin Herrmann (Chairman of the Board, CEO, RWE Transgas, a.s.)
• Member of the Presidium: Ing. Ladislav Pospíšil (Chairman of the Board, Pražská plynárenská Distribuce, a.s.),
• Member of the Presidium: Dipl.-Ing. Michael Fehn (Chairman of Board, E. ON Energie, a.s.)
  

 The structure of the Supervisory Board is as follows:

• Member of the Commission: Ing. Lubomír Frydrych (Head od Accounting and Tax Management, Východočeská plynárenská, a.s.),
• IMember of the Commission: Ing. Ivo Kršek (Office of the Board, E.ON Distribuce, a.s.) 
• Member of the Commission: Ing. Josef Hais (Sales Director, Pražská plynárenská, a.s.).

The Executive Office is led by Ing. Oldřich Petržilka (President and General Secretary of CGU) who is responsible for:

• holding talks on behalf of CGU with representatives of state administration in the Czech Republic, the Parliament, other organisations and subjects operating on the Czech market. This activity follows on from the fulfilment of the subject of activity according to Regulations and in accordance with resolutions of the Council of Members and resolutions of the Presidium,
• managing the activity of the Executive Office,
• CGU property administration.
